HOW SHOULD I DRESS WHEN I COME TO THE WORD CHURCH?
Feel free to wear whatever you like as long as it’s respectful. The women of Grace Church Bessemer never wear anything tight or short to church because they are “Kingdom Women.” Under no circumstances do we wear shorts to church unless we are participating in gymnasium activities.
WHAT DO YOU OFFER FOR THE CHILDREN DURING YOUR SERVICES?
During each service we have dedicated workers that will provide your children with an awesome and exciting worship experience. They will enjoy games, lessons and crafts as they learn on about God's love for them on their level. We offer Nursery Care, Pre-K and Kids Church each Sunday and Wednesday.
CAN I EXPECT SERVICE TO START AT THE SAME TIME WEEK TO WEEK?
We embrace “order and excellence” and ALWAYS start all services on time.
ARE THERE “RULES” FOR THE SANCTUARY?
In honor of God and to focus on the preached word, no food or drink should ever be brought into the sanctuary. Once the formal service has begun, if you must leave the sanctuary, for any reason, you will not be permitted to return to your seat if you were seated within the first 5 rows from the Altar. We try to eliminate all distractions once the preached word is going forth.
WHAT SHOULD I DO DURING “PRAISE & WORSHIP”?
During our time of Praise and Worship, those who are physically able, should stand in honor of God, He’s worthy! Open your mind and heart to the singing done by the Praise Team and join in by singing, clapping your hands or lifting your hands in worship! Allow yourself to be moved by the spirit in your own way…He IS worthy!
DO YOU HAVE A FOOD PANTRY?
After every Sunday service, our Food Outreach team has a pre-packaged bag ready for you when you leave. You simply have to ask us for it. It is our goal, not only to help meet your spiritual needs but also to help you through the rough patches of life. These food bags are available each week and you will receive direction some time during the service on how to get your food bag.
